Making dinner on a soccer night or trying to put something together after work can be stressful. Having some quick and easy meals for dinners are great options and necessary for a busy household. Pizza nights are always a favourite solution for our family, but this recipe provides a quick and easy option (often quicker than ordering in).
1. Put your favourite pizza sauce on your naan bread. For our family we like making our own and we follow this recipe: (or we cheat with the can of sauce)
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 minced cloves of garlic
salt to taste
1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
Just mix all of these together, no need to cook anything just yet!
2. Have your little ones put their own pizza toppings on, whatever your family would like. This can mean limiting intake of toppings before they go on the pizza, but this can be so much fun for the kids, so let them be creative.
3. Place the naan bread on your oven racks at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until all of the cheese is melted.
4. Remove from the oven, let them cool a bit and serve!
